Mar 08, 2010 (newstodate): A Danish investor, Airport Development A/S has emerged as the new owner of an airport in the Eastern part of Germany.
Magdeburg Cochstedt Airport in Sachsen-Anhalt was formerly a Soviet air base and currently serves only business and leisure flights.
Under the new ownership, the airport will be developed into an air cargo hub and logistics center, as well as offering training and other services.
The Danish investor group, managed by Michael Agerled as CEO, earlier acquired Furstenwalde/Spree Airport and Maxwalde Airport, also in Germany.
