Mar 09, 2010 (newstodate): The Czech carrier CSA has rejected an offer of strategic cooperation in charter carriage, presented to it by a "reputable carrier" several weeks ago.
Instead, CSA will hive off its charter carriage services into a subsidiary that will take those activities over from CSA and operate independently on the charter market.
The project, aimed at operating charter carriage at the most competitive costs possible, was already under consideration at the end of 2009, as a part of the plan for the long-term stabilization of Czech Airlines.
All existing contracts concluded with charter clients will continue to apply in full, while CSA will gradually transfer the activities to the new commercial entity.
