Mar 29, 2010 (newstodate): Russia has now reportedly granted Austrian Airlines permission to operate its Russian network till July 1, 2010, but the future is still undecided.
The problems for Austrian Airlines derive from its merger with Lufthansa that has cast doubts over its identity as an Austrian carrier - at least in Russian eyes.
Negotiatons are still being conducted between the two governments on the operations after July 1.
The carrier currently operates 44 weekly flights between Austrai and Russian destinations Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnodar, Rostov and Sochi .
