Feb 15, 2010 (newstodate): West Atlantic, the merger of the UK carrier Atlantic Airlines and West Air Sweden, has sold one of six Lockheed Electra freighters to the Canadian operator Conair.
After last week's delivery of a further three BAe ATP aircraft to West Atlantic, the joint carrier is now operating five Electra and 43 BAe ATP, two Bombardier CRJ200PF and single versions of the ATR 72 and Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
Performing some 140 aircraft movements per night, West Atlantic is Europe's largest regional cargo operator with its main management centers at Coventry Airport and Gothenburg.
