Feb 22, 2010 (newstodate): Stockholm Arlanda Airport, in Sweden, took a dip in cargo volumes in 2009 but sees spring approaching..
-Cargo volumes alone were 132,000 tonnes in 2009, down 29 percent, y-o-y. To this should be added 20,400 tonnes of mail, recuding the decline to 27.3 percent, y-o-y, says Bjorn Ragnebrink, LFV.
-December, 2009, was however up four percent on 2008, and we should also bear in miond that H1 2008 was the best in the history of Stockholm Arlanda, so any comparison is indeed lopsided.
-January has started the year 2010 in a positive tune, and we hear only optimism in the market now, says Mr Ragnebrink.
