Feb 23, 2010 (newstodate): After a difficult year 2009, Bulgaria's Sofia Airport is seeing better slightly trends from the start of 2010.
Year 2009 ended with cargo volumes at 15,120 tonnes, a decline by 19 percent, y-o-y.
But during January 2010, the airport has seen the drop improving to minus 14 percent, to 10,041 tonnes, and air mail volume even grew by four percent, y-o-y.
The airport is however doing better in passenger transportation that reached 1.3 mio in 2009, down only three percent, y-o-y, while passenger volumes actually were at January 2009-levels.
