Feb 16, 2010 (newstodate): The projected new carrier, FEEL Air is fine-tuning its plans to introduce low-cost flights from Stockholm Arlanda and Oslo Gardermoen to Bangkok and New York from 2010.
Originally aiming at opening flights with two long-haul aircraft in the fleet, FEEL Air is reportedly re-considering its plan to comprise operational launch with more aircraft in order to add more punch from the start, maybe also revising its tentative schedules and destination priorities.
Behind the adjustment of the plans is clearly the ever-increasing competition in the market for low-cost intercontinental operations from the Scandinavian and Nordic markets as announced by Norwegian and Iceland Express heading towards much the same destinations from summer with similar low-cost offers.
-Exactly due to the hype around these new ventures we have retreated from our originally very open communications approach to the markets, but I can confirm that we are now aiming to add further momentum to our concept in order to secure even more competitive rates to customers, says Kai Holmberg, FEEL Air CEO.
