Feb 11, 2010 (newstodate): The new Russian low-cost carrier Avianova is already planning to increase its aircraft fleet after only six months of service, starting on August 27, 2009.
Based in Moscow Vnukovo Airport but moving operations to Sheremetyevo Airport from March 2010, Avianova started out with two leased Airbus A320 aircraft, but is now announcing delivery of two more Airbus A320 aircraft in the second half of March and by May, respectively, both taken on a leasing agreement with ACG.
The carrier is building up a route network in Russia, based on its operational base in Moscow, with flights to Astrakhan, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Kazan, Samara, Naberezhnye Chelny and, from March 5, 2010, to Ufa and Perm.
