Feb 25, 2010 (newstodate): Three consortia filed their initial interest in the project for working out a master plan for the modernisation of Russia's Omsk Fedorovka Airport.
The three parties are HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH, Open Company Cushman and Wakefield and Russia's Rufaudit Omsk, next a consortium comprising CB Richard Ellis, Lufthansa, Obermeyer and a Russian partner, third a consortium comprising three Russian companies and Jones Lang LaSalle.
The Omsk regional government now has 10 days to check on the credentials of the bidders, and a final decision in the tender is then expected within 20 days thereafter.
The Omsk Fedorovka Airport will replace the existing Omsk Tsentralny Airport now serving the region and is poised to play a crucial role in the planned set-up of a multi-modal transport complex around Omsk, but the project has been delayed for a long period of time, leaving the airport only 60 percent finished.
