Feb 18, 2010 (newstodate): Romania has now completed the merger of the managements of the two capital airport, Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport and Bucharest Baneasa Airport.
The merger has been on the table for several year, but the efforts were last stalled by a Romanian company, Utility Aviation service, that took the issue to court on disputes over real estate involved.
Since February 11, 2010, the merger has been accomplished, and the new company named Bucharest Airports National Company will provide the management and operational coordination of the two airports servicing Bucharest.
