Feb 15, 2010 (newstodate): Effective from May 17, 2010, the Polish carrier LOT is returning services to Bratislava, Slovakia.
The carrier will operate an ATR 42 aircraft on the route between Warsaw and Bratislava, to be served six times weekly.
The new routes comes alongside three other new routes by LOT, including also flights from Warsaw to destinations Tallinn, Gothenburg, and Beirut.
So far, passengers in the Slovak marked have used LOT's existing destinations at Vienna, Budapest, Krakow and Rzeszov to connect to the route network of LOT that especially attracts Slovak passengers to transfer via Warsaw to LOT's trans-Atlantic flights.
The re-opening of LOT's route between Warsaw and Bratislava comes after a four-year suspension of services.
With the re-entry of LOT into the Slovak market, the number of foreign airlines offering regular flights from Bratislava during the coming summer season will increase to six, including Aeroflot, CSA, Danube Wings, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines and Sun D´Or International.
