Feb 26, 2010 (newstodate): Russia's new regional jet aircraft, the AN-148 has made its debut in commercial service into the EU.
First to operate the aircraft into an EU airport is Ukraine's Aerosvit that has introduced the aircraft on its route between Kiev and Warsaw, Poland.
The AN-148 is also performing test flights to validate its P-RNAV (precision area navigation) systems in the active P-RNAV zones of Helsinki, Finland and Bergen, Norway.
A total of 235 AN-148 aircraft are on orders from operators in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Cuba, Bolivia and Burma.
