Feb 04, 2010 (newstodate): Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport has been selected as a new destination on Martinair's freighter network.
Performing the first operation at Sheremetyevo on February 3, 2010, Martin will now operate through Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport on its route between Amsterdam and Hong Kong, served two times weekly with a Boeing 747 freighter aircraft.
Sheremetyevo Airport has ambitions to become Russia's largest cargo hub, aiming at handling over one million tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.
Other cargo carriers operating at the airport are Aeroflot, ABC Airlines, Korean Air Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo and KLM Air France Cargo.
