Feb 04, 2010 (newstodate): As part of its current turn-around plan, Malev has phased out its last remaining Fokker 70 aircraft and now operates only Boeing 737 Next Generation and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
The five Fokker 70 will be handed back to the owner, AWAS Leasing Company, over a six-month period following repairs and maintenance work, and the Malev fleet now includes five Boeing 737-800, seven Boeing 737-700 and six Boeing 737-600 and four Bombardier Q-400 aircraft.
