Feb 04, 2010 (newstodate): The Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics Company) is expanding its portfolio of services, adding aircraft teardown capability.
The company has purchased an ex-Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-300 airframe from GECAS for teardown, including all components but excluding engines.
-FL Technics provides a broad scope of services for the Boeing 737 CL. Start of teardown activity will allow us to form and maintain a wider stock of Boeing 737 CL spare parts and components for our customers in CIS, CEE, and the broader EU region, says Jonas Butautis, FL Technics CEO.
The aircraft will be disassembled at the companys plant in Vilnius, Lithuania, and plans to purchase a few more Boeing 737 CL for part out in 2010.
FL Technics AB is part of Lithuanian aviation business group Avia Solutions Group AB.
