Feb 24, 2010 (newstodate): The Polish state enterprise Polish Airports has signed a contract with HOCHTIEF for the completion of Warsaw Frederik Chopin Airport's Terminal 2 project.
Construction work will start after site preparation in March 2010 and is expected to last 12 months.
When the project has been completed, passengers at Warsaw Chopin Airport will have 27 boarding bridges and more than 45 gates at their disposal.
-Through to this project and the redevelopment of runway 1 also planned for this year, the airport will be ready to handle increased traffic volumes during Poland's EU presidency in 2011 and during the UEFA EURO 2012, says Michal Marzec, Polish Airports Managing Director.
