Feb 16, 2010 (newstodate): Northern Capital Gateway is seeking a 100 mio euro loan from EBRD for construction of a new terminal as well as the refurbishment of the existing infrastructure of the airport facilities at Russia's St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport.
Behind the project is Northern Capital Gateway, a Project Company indirectly owned by VTB Capital, Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide and the Copelouzos Group, with Fraport AG supporting the Project Company as the Lead Operator and provider of expertise as required by the Project Company through an airport operator and technical support agreement.
The major construction works will take place between 2010 and 2013, and The Project Company has signed a concession contract with the St Petersburg and Pulkovo Airport Company on October 20, 2009, for a period of 30 years.
Excluded from the concession is the operation of the airport's cargo terminals and its business aviation companies.
