On February 18 the company announced a landmark transaction in its history as it purchased factory new aircraft from ATR for the first time, leasing them to TRIP Linhas Aereas of Brazil, the second-largest operator of ATR aircraft in the world with a fleet of 27 ATR aircraft and 5 Embraer E-175 jets.
On February 11, NAC confirmed that it had completed the purchase of five ATR 72-500 aircraft from ATRiam with leases attached to Lufthansa.

Nordic Aviation Capitals current fleet of 130 aircraft includes ATR 42, ATR 72, Bombardier Dash 8, Boeing 737, MD 83, CRJ 200, Fokker 50 and Saab 2000 aircraft.
NAC, based at Billund, Denmark, is currently the largest turboprop lessor in the world and will mark its 20th year of operations in 2010.
