Feb 25, 2010 (newstodate): The EU Commission is casting a criticial eye on the Czech airline CSA.
The carrier has obtained a substantial loan from a state-owned company, Osinek a. s., and the Commission says in a statement that it cannot exclude that the loan and its subsequent de-collateralisation, which the airline will use to finance costs linked to the operation of the company, constitutes state aid.
The Commission will thus investigate the issue as part of normal routines.
