Feb 01, 2010 (newstodate): Russia's Khabarovsk Novy Airport is due to be redeveloped, and work is now starting on a master-plan to be presented later this year.
The tender in 2009 for the task was won by the Korean company Incheon International Airport Corporation in cooperation with Daewoo Engineering Company, and representatives from the two companies are now making preliminary site studies.
Khabarovsk Novy Airport, among Russia's 12 prime international airports that will attract state and regional investments securing their 365-24-7 operational status, and one of the country's eight large aviation centers, will be developed into an international airport hub serving Russia's eastern regions.
