Feb 04, 2010 (newstodate): Armenian carrier Armavia plans to take delivery of a Boeing 757-200 aircraft in September, 2010.
The carrier has long aired intentions of opening long haul flights from Yerevan to destinations in USA, Canada, Thailand, and China as well as to Tokyo.
Plans are also to Warsaw, Cyprus, Delhi and Tel Aviv in the near future.
Earlier plans were to acquire an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, but the scales seem to have tipped in favor of a Boeing solution.
