Feb 18, 2010 (newstodate): Easily overtaking the Airbus A380 in numbers, 13,000 fur-clad passengers boarded a Boeing 777 aircraft at Denmark's Billund Airport, heading for China.
A far cry from a VIP operation, though, the air transport on the freighter aircraft chartered from China Southern brought minks from Denmark to Harbin, in Northern China, for breeding purposes.
The operation also marked the first visit by a Boeing 777 aircraft at the Airport.
Denmark is the leading mink-producing country, accounting for nearly 40 percent of world production.
