Dec 03, 2010 (newstodate): Once again, the position as CEO for Serbia's JAT Airways proves to almost as dangerous as a full-day tour in a roller coaster.
The airline's current CEO, Srdjan Radovanovic, took up his position in July, 2009, after the sacking of his predecessor, Sasa Vlaisalvjevic that took the chair only in October, 2007.
Now the Serbian government is in the process of sacking Mr Radovanovic over alleged misconduct of this office.
Also at stake is the strategy of the airline that is burdened by debts. One position is to declare JAT bankrupt, leaving it with the debts while setting up a new airline to succeed JAT.
Another position is to bolster the existing JAT, pay off debts and re-float the airline.
