Dec 01, 2010 (newstodate): Russia is seeing a brisk surge in air cargo volumes, fully rebounding on last year's downturn.
In October 2010, Russian airlines carried a total of 89,000 tonnes of cargo and mail - an increase by 27.1 percent, y-o-y.
In the first ten months of the year, the total volumes of cargo and mail by Russian carriers reached 736,780 tonnes, up 47.7 percent, y-o-y.
The top-5 cargo carriers were AirBridgeCargo with 255,000 tonnes of cargo, Aeroflot with 134,400 tonnes, Volga-Dnepr airlines with 74,120 tonnes, Polet with 38,900 tonnes and Transaero with 31,900 tonnes.
