Dec 15, 2010 (newstodate): A project for extension of the runway and upgrading of other infrastructure at Russia's Kirov Pobedilovo Airport has now been completed.
The airport's runway has been extended from 2,250 to 2,700 m, allowing for traffic with larger aircraft, and the project has also comprises the renovation of the runway lighting system.
Taxiways and the apron have also been reinforced with financing provided by the Federal government.
Operators at the airport include Region-Avia and UTAir, both with flights to Moscow.
