Dec 08, 2010 (newstodate): Construction works on the passenger terminal at Romania's Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport have now been completed, and the airport will official commission the new facility in March 2011.
The project, executed by Italy's Astaldi, will lift the airport's annual handling capacity to six mio in 2012.
The new terminal will handle incoming and outgoing passenger traffic to and from Schengen and non-Schengen destinations, and is a vital element in the airport's designation as an international airport within the Schengen area.
