Dec 03, 2010 (newstodate): With the last figures, November, from Riga Airport, the Latvian airport has again proved its leading role in the Baltic airfreight scene.
From January to November 2010, a total of 11,032 tonnes of airfreight was handled at the airport, an increase by 31.9 percent, y-o-y.
In November alone, the growth was however more modest at 4.8 percent, to 1,041 tonnes of cargo and mail including 600 tonnes of cargo and 441 tonnes of air mail.
