Dec 10, 2010 (newstodate): Santa Claus may run into some problems with deliveries of Christmas post and parcels in Norway this year.
Apart from Santa's sledge crews, postal deliveries in Norway are also carried by aircraft from West Air Sweden, and the Norwegian pilots operating these flights have threatened to launch a strike from December 16, 2010, if their demand are not met.
West Air Sweden took over the domestic air mail services contract with Post Norway from November 1, 2006, and has dedicated six ATP freighter to the service that also includes flights between Norway and Svalbard.
