Dec 16, 2010 (newstodate): Montenegro is facing another abortive attempt to sell a minority stake in the country's Montenegro Airlines.
The tender for sale of 30 percent of the stake was opened in September 2010, but as the deadline was passed on December 15, 2010, no bids had been received.
Four airlines had reportedly applied for tender documents, including JAT, El Al and Arkia Airlines, but eventually no one posted a bid.
Montenegro Airlines, based at Podgorica, operates a fleet fleet comprising eight aircraft including Embraer 195 and five Fokker 100.
Efforts have earlier been made to sell off the carrier through tenders - all ending with no result.
