Dec 23, 2010 (newstodate): Macedonia's Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport will become a new destination at Finland's Helsinki Vantaa Airport from next summer.
The operator is yet to be disclosed, but the new route will be served from May till September 2011, targeting the leisure segment of Finnish travelers.
On March 1, 2010, the Turkish airport construction and management company TAV finally took over the responsibility for running and developing Macedonia's airports at Skopje and Ohrid, and work on expansion of the passenger terminal at Ohrid is progressing, while plans for this airport also comprises construction of a new cargo terminal and new office buildings.
