Dec 17, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish ground handling service provider Novia is to enter the Indian market in a consortium set up with Bhadra International.
From January 1, 2011, the consortium will launch business at India's Chennai and Kolkata airports, aiming at providing a full package of passenger, ramp and cargo handling services.
-This is our first move outside the Nordic aviation environment, and the new activity has been placed with a new entity, Novia International Consulting, says Ingolf Pedersen, Novia.
-Our contribution in this partnership will be providing professional expertise in the fields of HR management, safety and other spheres, but we are not financially involved in the operation.
-If this new venture proves successful we might consider engaging ourselves in other international projects and market in the future, says Mr Pedersen.
