Dec 03, 2010 (newstodate): Denmark's aircraft leasing company Nordic Aviation Capital has agreed with Latvia's airBaltic on the financing of carrier's new aircraft.
The agreement comprises the financing and leasing terms of airBaltic's eight new Bombardier Q400 aircraft, three of which have already been delivered to the carrier.
After selling the three Q400 aircraft to Nordic Aviation Capital, the leasing company will take ownership of the entire Q400 fleet and lease the aircraft to airBaltic on a long-term basis.
After the finalization of this lease arrangement, airBaltic is to take delivery of the five remaining Q400 aircraft in the coming few weeks already.
