Nov 11, 2010 (newstodate): Swedish provider of Electronic Flight Bags, navAero has landed a fresh order in the Indian market.
New customer for the provider's t*bag C22 Electronic Flight Bag system is the Indian carrier Jet Airways that will start implementation from next month of the system on ten of its Boeing 737-NG aircraft.
navAero is also nearing completion of EASA Supplemental Type Certificates for both the A330 and ATR aircraft types, and once the system has been validated, the installations in these Jet Airways fleets will begin in early 2011.
-navAero has established itself as the "low cost provider" of electronic flight bags specifically designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of the commercial airline industry for Part 121 aircraft, says Ken Crowhurst, navAero Director Sales.
-Our modular system architecture allows for key COTS components to be upgraded as computer technology evolves without any change to form, fit or function, thus eliminating needs for changes in installation or certification.
Among operators in Western Europe using navAero technology are SAS, Norwegian, Bulgarian Air Charter, Air Italy, Meridiana, Viking Airlines and Nova Airlines.
navAero is currently in negotiation with several operators in Russia, CIS and East Europe, but has still to land its first contracts here.
navAero AB is headquartered in Sundsvall, Sweden.
Sales, marketing, certification and technical support for the Western Hemisphere is based in Miami, Florida, USA.
