Nov 26, 2010 (newstodate): Swedish ACMI-provider Tor Air is back in Iraq, operating for the privately-owned Iraqi carrier Al-Naser Airlines.
Tor Air operated flights on a route from London via Stockholm to Baghdad on a long-term contract with Iraqi Airways until the end of May 2010 when the carrier was forced out of business.
Al-Naser Airlines has five aircraft in its fleet, including Tor Air's Boeing 737-400.
The carrier's own aircraft are banned from EU airspace, leaving the European routes to be operated with leased aircraft on foreign registration.
