Nov 23, 2010 (newstodate): The Slovenian carrier Adria Airways has announced the launch of three new routes from Kosovo to Germany.
From December 10, 2010, the airline will offer seven weekly flights from Pristina in Kosovo to Munich, four weekly flights to Frankfurt and two weekly flights to Dusseldorf.
All new flights will be operated with Adria Airways' Airbus A319 aircraft.
Adria Airways has developed a strong image in Kosovo since the launch, on October 15, 1999, of scheduled flights between Pristina and Ljubljana, in Slovenia.
The new services by Adria Airways will meet with fresh German competition from March 2011 when Lufthansa opens services with four weekly flights, recently announced, between Dusseldorf and Pristina.
The airport is already served by several other German carrier including Air Berlin, Germania, Germanwings, and Hamburg International.
