Nov 30, 2010 (newstodate): SAS is back in the Emirates with its seasonal winter schedule, this winter increased with one weekly frequency.
The carrier has also named Stefan Eiche as its new UAE General Manager, also in charge of the Middle East, and African markets.
In this fourth winter season serving the Copenhagen-Dubai route, the carrier has increased to four weekly rotations using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Effective from October 31, 2010, Qatar has increased capacity on the route between Doha and Copenhagen by substituting the Airbus A319 service with Airbus A330, and from February 2, 2011, the carrier's flight frequency will go op from the currently four weekly rotations to five, with a sixth weekly flight to be added from February 21, 2011.
It still remains to be seen if Copenhagen Airport will also be added to the route map of Emirates that has applied for slots from June, 2011.
