Nov 23, 2010 (newstodate): Russia's federal Ministry of Transport will invest in the modernization of the infrastructure of of the Altai Republic's's Gorno Altaisk Airport.
A modernization project in 2010-11 includes a repair of the airport's 1,300 m runway, new taxiways, apron area, as well as installation of new navigation equipment.
The airport was formerly state-owned, then sold to a Moscow-based company Sibmost that is pressing for speeding up the completion of the project, long overdue.
