Nov 22, 2010 (newstodate): Russia's Polet Airlines has launched services on a new freighter route between Russia and Germany.
The carrier will operate three weekly rotations on the route between Moscow and Munich, using IL-96-400T freighter aircraft, using Munich as a European hub to attract cargo flows from Central and Western Europe, and consolidate transit cargo going from Canada, Africa and the Americas.
The new service is the first direct cargo flight between the important industrial region of Southern Germany and Russia.
