Nov 30, 2010 (newstodate): If plans materialize, Aalborg Airport, in Denmark's northernmost part of Jutland, will become first in the country to offer nonstop flights to Florida from summer 2011.
Behind the project named Comefly, to be managed by Steen Normann Petersen, are private Danish investors from outside the aviation industry.
Plans are to launch a total of 20 flights with a weekly rotation from June 14, 2011, and until the autumn.
The company will charter an Airbus A330-200, reportedly from Monarch Airlines.
