Nov 04, 2010 (newstodate): The UK/Swedish regional freighter company West Atlantic, poised to become the world's first operator of the converted Airbus A320 freighter from 2012, will place the aircraft with its subsidiary in Luxembourg.
-The aircraft will have Luxembourg registration and be operated from here, says Peter Koster, West Air Luxembourg managing director.
-The decision to operate the converted freighter here reflects the changed business environment where much has changed with the firming-up of integrator operations on regional European routes.
-The new aircraft offering much more capacity and longer range allows us to enter new business segments, says Mr Koster.
The Luxembourg carrier will also take over the world's first converted Bombardier Q400 freighter.
