Nov 11, 2010 (newstodate): While still not officially confirmed, indications are that the Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit plans to open up traffic between Kiev and Tallinn, Estonia.
-The flights have been entered into the Amadeus booking system, but we are still waiting for official confirmation from Aerosvit, says Mari-Liis Ruutsalu, Estravel marketing manager.
-According to the information available, Aerosvit will operate four weekly flights on days not operated by Estonian Air, and plans are to market these connections in the Estonian markets in combination with onward flights by Aerosvit to the Far East and USA. This would certainly be of huge interest in Estonia, says Ms Ruutsalu.
Among the carrier's long-haul destinations are Bangkok, Delhi, New York and Toronto.
According to industry sources, Aerosvit and Estonian Air may be considering a code-share agreement to provide Estonian travelers with more long-haul options from Tallinn Airport.
