Nov 29, 2010 (newstodate): The Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics has landed an aircraft maintenance contract with the Belarus carrier Belavia.
Launching the cooperates is the C-check on a Belavia Boeing 737 in November at the provider's facilities in Vilnius.
The new contract marks another step towards fulfilling the strategy by FL Technics to seek access to the growing aviation market in the CIS region.
The provider already cooperates with CIS airlines including SCAT, Tajik Air, Kuban Airlines and Yamal Airlines.
Already certified to provide maintenance work on a range of Boeing aircraft types, the company is currently finishing the process to acquire Airbus 319/320/321 family license for line and base maintenance, including D check, and the equipment required for the new maintenance works is being installed at the premises in Vilnius.
