Nov 09, 2010 (newstodate): Lufthansa Consulting has been commissioned by Russia's JSC Alliance-Prom and Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport to assist in defining the strategic direction for the development of the two largest airports in the Russian Far East.
JSC Alliance-Prom is a shareholder of both Khabarovsk Novy airport and Vladivostok Knevichi airport, while Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport holds shares in and operates Vladivostok Knevichi airport.
Lufthansa Consulting will provide assistance in forming strategies to develop the two airports from the aviation and from the financial perspective.
Three areas of major importance in the project are traffic strategy as the main driver for passenger and cargo flows, optimization of future investments into infrastructure, and the impact of the complementary strategic roles of the two airports on the respective local and regional economies.
The project started at the end of July and is scheduled to last four months.
