Nov 22, 2010 (newstodate): The Finnish regional carrier Blue1, member of the SAS Group, has now taken delivery of its fourth Boeing 717 aircraft.
Blue1 plans to have taken in a total of nine 120-seats Boeing 717-200 aircraft by February/March 2011, with another nine aircraft to be delivered later in 2011.
-The latest aircraft delivered will be put into operations with 10 days following completion of the last procedures. We are indeed happy with this aircraft that is the right size to allow for more frequencies on existing routes, and the opening of new routes as the Boeing 717 fleets fills up, says Tom Christides, Blue 1 VP Corporate Communication & Government Affairs.
