Nov 16, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish transport and logistics company Blue Water will intensify its focus on general cargo business in the Nordic countries.
Blue Water has build up a strong competence in niches including project cargo, wind turbine transports, oil & gas, cruise logistics with own offices around the world, while general cargo is not a primary business on the global scene.
-Different from the global marketplace, we will now intensify a focus on gaining a share of the sea, air and land transportation of general cargo in the Nordic markets comprising Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, says Kurt Skov, Blue Water CEO and founder.
-We are convinced that there is much untapped potential for general cargo services in the Nordic markets, and to boost this process we have set up a new management position to spearhead and coordinate new initiatives in the four markets, says Mr Skov.
Taking up this new position is Jesper Hansen, formerly with TNT Logistics and Geodis Wilson.
