Nov 24, 2010 (newstodate): Danish Air Transport, DAT, is back in the full-freighter market with two ATR-42 aircraft fresh from maintenance checks.
-The two aircraft have been with Deccan in India for two years and are now back after the expiry of the contract, says Torben Ravnkilde, DAT VP Sales.
-The first freighter is now based in Albert, northern France, centrally positioned to serve the European market, and it actually landed its first ad-hoc contract on the first day after release. The second ATR-42 full-freighter will be released later this week, but will probably remain at our home base till further notice.
-The freighters, with a payload capacity of 5.5 tonnes, are facing a brisk market with increasing demand, so we are keen to be back after nine months of service in India, says Mr Ravnkilde.
