Nov 25, 2010 (newstodate): The cornerstone of the new passenger terminal at St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport has now been laid by Fraport AG and its partners in the Northern Capital Gateway consortium.
In April 2010, Northern Capital Gateway Consortium won the tender for a 30-year management contract and the obligation to invest in the construction of a new runway, a new passenger terminal and other infrastructure.
The airport concession focuses in the first construction phase on building a new passenger terminal scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.
Partners in the consortium are Fraport with 35.5 percent, VTB Bank with 50 percent, Cypriot investor Koltseva Holdings Ltd. with 7.5 and Copelouzos Group of Greece with seven percent.
