Nov 01, 2010 (newstodate): After some turbulence during this year's summer schedule, Austrian Airlines has now had its traffic rights on routes to Russia confirmed, in time for the start of the winter schedule.
Russia earlier raised doubts over the carrier's right to operate to Russia after its take-over by the German carrier Lufthansa, which in Russian eyes meant the loss of its Austrian identity.
Austrian Airlines can now safely operate flights on routes to Moscow, St Petersburg, Rostov, Sochi and Krasnodar.
