Nov 10, 2010 (newstodate): While Qantas is having its problems with the Rolls-Royce engines on its A380, and Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa are closely controlling their A380 engines, Air France has also had its problems with the A380.
These problems were, however, of quite another nature: the carrier's sole A380 experienced a collision on ground with another aircraft at New York JFK earlier this month, causing Air France to change to Boeing 747-400 services on the route New York-Paris.
Air France expects to have the A380 back into operation again from November 18, 2010.
