Nov 10, 2010 (newstodate): October brought some relief to the 2010 cargo statistics of Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
A total of 6,172 tonnes of cargo was handled at Gardermoen - down 1.6 percent, y-o-y, with October being the second-best month in a year with only one month, February, of positive growth in volumes.
International cargo was up 4.1 percent, y-o-y, to 3,734 tonnes, while domestic cargo fell 9.2 percent to 2,439 tonnes.
In January-October 2010 total volumes were 59,220 tonnes, down 8.9 percent, y-o-y.
As always, the figures reported exclude trucked volumes that, if included, would probably present a brighter picture.
Figures on trucked volumes are, however, not available.
